Association of Jewish Family & Children’s Services
More than 125 Jewish family service agencies exist across the United States and Canada. Ranging in size from small departments of local Jewish federations to some of the largest human services agencies in North America, their members provide vital services to clients of all ages, faiths and economic backgrounds. They counsel families, feed the hungry, assist the elderly and protect the vulnerable. They are united by the values of our Jewish tradition and work together toward our common goal of “tikkun olam,” repairing the world.
If you’re fortunate to have a chapter in your area, you’ll find that they provide a variety of resources and services for all families, regardless of religious affiliation. This includes an array of social services, including one-on-one counseling. You may also discover a variety of other helpful resources as well, like low-cost legal services, support groups, senior services and mental health referrals.
The organizations that serve under the umbrella of the Association of Jewish Family & Children’s Services are important partners in our communities, and we’re proud to honor their good work with the HomeBoundResources Seal of Approval.
